Making A Purchase
You have probably visited our website to buy books. Making a purchase online could not be easier. Just browse through our Catalogue, and click on any items that you want to buy and put them into the shopping trolley. When you have made your selection, click on ‘Order’ - you will be asked for a few details that we need to fulfil your order.
Orders placed via the Internet are supplied at 10 per cent discount, and post free over £25 (standard UK postage or surface mail for overseas). The 10 per cent discount does not apply to Middleton Press titles, although these are delivered free of charge. The website shows the recommended retail prices, with the discounted price alongside: the amount you are asked to pay will take account of the discount.
We accept credit card payment, by Visa and Mastercard. We do not charge for any item until it is ready to ship (with the exception of pre-publication subscription offers). Back-ordered items are not charged until they are shipped.
Shipping And Handling
We fulfil your order immediately. UK orders should be received within a few days; overseas surface mail can take 8-10 weeks. If airmail or any express service is required, please ask for a quotation.
Back Orders
If your item is not in stock, we will back order for you. You will have the option to cancel your order if you prefer not to wait.
Credit Card Security
You may send your credit card information via phone, fax, snail mail or over the Internet. All credit card numbers are encrypted in the software, so that your credit card data is scrambled and coded. It is only decoded when it reaches our computer. Encryption provides effective protection against piracy. Credit card details are not held in clear text on any website.
Privacy Policy
Phillimore & Co. Ltd do not disclose buyers’ information to third parties. Cookies are used on this shopping site to keep track of the contents of your shopping basket once you have selected an item, to store delivery addresses if the address book is used and to store your details if you select the ‘Remember Me’ option.
Returns Policy
In the event of faulty or damaged goods, we will accept returns, provided that we are notified within 30 days of the customer’s receipt of the book(s).
